Alfred J. Lape, Sr.

WEST SAND LAKE - Alfred James Lape Sr., a longtime resident of West Sand Lake, passed away peacefully at his home on May 16th 2026.

Alfred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather. He shared his life with his beloved wife, Tracy Strope Lape, and took great pride in his family.

He is survived by his wife Tracy Lape; daughter, Angela (Lape) Hill and her husband, Joseph Hill and his son, Alfred "AJ" Lape Jr. and his girlfriend Katie Newhouse; his cherished granddaughter, Enslee Ann; his brother, John (Lori) Lape and his sister, Shelly (Brian) Denue.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond (Jugger) Lape and Edith Morey Lape, and brothers, Edward Lape and Michael Lape. 

Alfred's love for his family was evident in everything he did, and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever.

Due to his wishes a private celebration of life will be held in the future. 

No flowers are needed, prayers are the greatest comfort to the family.
