William A. Walsh, 84

Averill Park - William A. Walsh, 84, of Tollgate Road died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Westchester County Medical Center Valhalla, NY after a 2 month illness.

Born in Albany , he was son of the late Joseph Walsh and Elizabeth Maikels Walsh and husband of Joy Pultz Hover Walsh and the late Helen Elligott Walsh. He had resided in Albany most of his life and in Averill Park for the past 30 years.

Mr. Walsh was employed as a Distributor for O Merrill David of Albany, an automotive parts and chemicals company for several years and formerly worked at Huyck Felt for 30 years .

He was a member of Trout Unlimited and helped with restocking waterways. Bill had a great love for hunting and fishing and enjoyed fly fishing and tying his own flies. He loved his lunches at Doby's in West Sand Lake with the gang. Following an accident at his home, Bill was taken from Albany Medical Center to the Westchester Medical Center burn unit for treatment of burns, which healed nicely, however he passed away due to complications after an 8 week stay.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, William Joseph Walsh, Cohoes, John Patrick Walsh, Albany and Donald James Hover, Stoughton, WI; his grandchildren, William (Sherry), Edward (Maria), Joey, Tina (Michael Cokrovany), Erica (Todd Farmen), Sean, Bryon, Stacie and Mark and great grandchildren, Brendon, Connor, Meghan, Nicholas, Colin, Kylie, Kieara, Christopher, Joel, Julianna and Matthew.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling AvenueTroy on Thursday from 4-7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 10 AM at the funeral home with Rev. James Jeune, a nephew, officiating.

Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery New Concord.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of William A. Walsh to the Westchester Medical Center, BURN UNIT 100 Woods Road Valhalla, NY 10595.
