William Michael Johnson, 57

Port St. Lucie, FL William Michael Johnson, 57, of East Snow Road, died Friday at Cambridge, NY after an illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late William and Mary Catherine McGovern Johnson and husband of Dawn M. O'Malley Johnson. He was raised in Troy, had resided in Florida for the past 5 years and was educated at LaSalle Institute and Siena College.

Mr. Johnson was a recruiter for Management Recruiters Inc. in Jensen Beach, Florida for the past 3 years.

He was an avid reader and sports fan.

Survivors in addition to his wife include four daughters Maria Abbott-Root, Susan Becker, Erika Johnson of Tallahassee and Erin Johnson of Port St. Lucie; a son William Abbott; a sister Janice McGovern Johnson; 4 grandchildren; mother and father-in-law Dolores Romack and Jonathan Fine of Cambridge and Joseph and Patricia O'Malley of Duanesburg and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 9:30am from Sacred Heart Church Pawling Avenue Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. corner of Pawling Avenue and Maple Avenue Troy on Sunday from 4-6pm. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Johnson to the 'William M. Johnson Fund', c/o Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Ave. Troy, NY 12180 for a contribution to Florida State University and the American Cancer Society.
