William H. Fulkerson, 95

Farmington, CT William H. Fulkerson, 95, of Scott Swamp Road, died Tuesday at University of Connecticut Health Center after a long illness.

Born in Jerseyville, IL he was son of the late Frank E. and Charlotte Lowe Fulkerson and husband for 62 years of Dorothy Vandenburgh Fulkerson. He was a long time resident of Troy and a member of the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church before relocating with his wife to his family town of Jerseyville, IL.

Mr. Fulkerson was a long time employee of the Behr-Manning Company in Watervliet before retiring and serving as a consultant at IBM and Dupont.

While in Troy, he was active in Boy Scouts, American Red Cross, Troy Chromatics Concerts and Toastmasters and while in Jerseyville was an active supporter of the Jerseyville Historical Society.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Amy F. Hatfield (Stephen C.) of Granby, CT; two grandchildren, Sara H. Beaudin (Jason) of Canton, CT and Sean Hatfield of Jersey City, NJ and two great-grandchildren Jacob and Tucker Beaudin of Canton, CT. He was predeceased by a son, 1st LT Roger A. Fulkerson, who was killed in 1968 in action in Viet Nam.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00pm from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy with Rev. C. Joseph Ingraham, Pastor Emeritus of the Christ Church United Methodist, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 12-1pm prior to the service. Interment Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Fulkerson to the American Red Cross 737 Second Avenue Troy, NY 12182.
