William Carley Obituary

Rexford - William M. Carley, 79, of Main St Rexford died Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Saratoga Hospital.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late William L. Carley and Shirley Lynch Carley and husband of Mary Diane Cronin Carley. He was a resident of Troy for 35 years and resided in Rexford since 1973. He was a 1956 graduate of Catholic Central High School and attended Ithaca College. 

Bill was a truck driver for Crowley Foods in Menands for 40 years, retiring in 1999.  

Bill was an Assistant Coach at Catholic Central High School, and was a history buff, collected artifacts and was a carpenter and builder.    

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Maryjo (Todd) Erway, Saratoga Springs; a son, William Sean (Sandi) Carley, Leesburg, VA; a sister, Lynn A. (Donald) Madsen, Wynantskill; five grandchildren, Liam and Patrick Erway and Brodie, Kiptyn and Brendalyn Carley and two nieces, Sara (Joseph) Walsh and Kelly Madsen. 

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11AM at Our Lady of Victory Church 55 North Lake Avenue Troy with Rev. Randall Patterson, Pastor.

Interment will be in  St. Peter's Cemetery Troy.
