Warren Weiss Obituary

Averill Park - Warren W. Weiss, 77, of Breezedale Drive died suddenly Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Samaritan Hospital.

Born in Rockville Centre, LI, NY, he was son of the late Paul Weiss and Emily Toelle Weiss and husband of Stephanie Siciliano Weiss. He was raised in Freeport. NY and resided in East Nassau and Averill Park since 1966.  He earned his Bachelor's and Master's in Health Administration from Russell Sage College. 

Warren was employed a Program Administrator for the New York State Department of Health in Troy and Albany for 20 years, retiring in 2003.   

He was a Rensselear County Master Gardener, a volunteer at the Troy Music Hall and enjoyed travel, opera and his cats. He was an Army veteran and was stationed in Germany.   

Survivors in addition to his wife include a sister-in-law, Margaret R. Weiss, Averill Park; a brother-in-law, Frederick Siciliano and several nieces and nephews, including Deborah (Ole) Heggen, Brian Paul Weiss and Glenn William (Patricia) Weiss. He  was predeceased by a brother, Paul A. Weiss.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at the Church of the Covenant 3055 Route 43 Averill Park on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2PM with Rev. Joseph Auslander, Pastor, officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Warren W. Weiss to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society 3 Oakland Avenue Menands, NY 12204 .
