Virginia Bayer Dunn , 79

Malta Virginia Bayer Dunn , 79 ,of Snowberry Road died Friday, June 18, 2004 at her residence after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Bayer Jr. and Ethel (Gillie) Bayer and wife of the late Abraham Dunn.

She wintered in the Greater Tampa Bay, Florida area and for the past 17 years resided in Malta and was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1943 and attended Ohio State and Russell Sage College.

Mrs. Dunn was employed in budget allocation for the State University Construction Fund, retiring in 1978.

She was a member of the Clifton Park and Waterford Senior Citizens and loved to play bridge, to travel, was an avid gardener and adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Davis James Fay (Laurie) of Menands and Jeffery Fay of Albany; a brother, Theodore J. Bayer (Jeanne) of Ballston Spa; a sister, Madeline G. Miller of St. Petersburg, FL; six grandchildren, Davis Coston Fay and Amanda Bayer Fay both of Jackson, WY and Jimmy, Jeffrey, Madeline and Abby Fay all of Menands and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Tracy Fay.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM from the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue in Troy with Rev. Leslie Hughs, Interim Rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Troy, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
