Timothy Scott Church, 54

Watervliet - Timothy Scott Church, 54, of Beryl Way died suddenly Friday, June 19, 2009.

Born in Troy, he was son of Eugene R. Church and Margaret M. 'Peggy' Haughney Church and husband of Deborah L. Arnold-Church. He was raised and resided in Wynantskill most of his life, resided for the past 2-1/2 years in Watervliet and was a Averill Park High School class of 1974.

Tim was employed as a Mechanical Flower Mill Operator for Cargill in the Port of Albany for the past 31 years.

He was a member of the Grain Workers Union and a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill. He was a master musician, fluent on many instruments, a song writer, rock star and leader of the Mighty Joe Whitey Band. A talented artist of cartoons and line drawings and an all around talented artist. Tim was an avid NY Yankees and Giants fan and for many years a little league baseball coach.

Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include two sons, Jason M. Church of Wynantskill and Ryan A. Church of East Greenbush; a step son, Justin W. Bryar of Watervliet; a grandchild, Jacob Church; his siblings, Bonnie J. Schroll of Colonie, Tracy D. (Joan) Church of Wynantskill and Beckie S. (Randy) Ponkos of Ghent and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake and at 9:30 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Salvatore Rodino, Pastor.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7.
