Schenectady - Thomas C. Coward, 75, died Sunday, November 11, 2018, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn after a long illness.
Born in Albany, he was son of the late Clifford Wayne Coward and Elizabeth Marie Ahern Coward. He had resided in the Schenectady area all his life and was a graduate of Linton High School in Schenectady, class of 1961.
Thomas worked for General Electric in Schenectady at the large steam turbine plant for 35+ years retiring in 2002.
His true love was boating. He crewed a boat from Albany to Florida each summer with friends for many years. Many years ago he was a Boy Scout. He was an Army veteran during the Vietnam War stationed in Germany.
Survivors include two sisters, Joan E. (Bruce Brownell) Davis, Edinburgh, NY and Catherine Villacorta, Troy and several nieces and grand nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in Maine, where he loved to vacation, at a later date.
