Stella T. Drozenski Kwasnowski, 80

East Greenbush Stella T. Drozenski Kwasnowski, 80 ,of Rosewood Gardens and formerly of West Sand Lake, died Sunday, July 4, 2004 at the home after a long illness.

Born in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Drozenski and Eva (Liechorobiec) Drozenski and wife of the late Sam J. Kwasnowski.

She had resided in Kingston many years and since 1987 in West Sand Lake and was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School.

Mrs. Kwasnowski owned and operated a Stewart's Ice cream shop in Kingston, with her husband, for 23 years and later worked in Key Bank in Kingston.

She was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Kingston and a communicant of St. Henry's Church in Averill Park.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Beth (Gregory) Krohel of Poestenkill, NY; two sons, John J. (Kate) Kwasnowski of Averill Park and Paul D. (Donna) Kwasnowski of Thornton, CO ; five sisters, Emily (Paul) Scordin of Germantown, Helen Turek of Poughkeepsie, Eleanor (Paul) Metz of Glens Falls, Loretta Drozenski of Raleigh, NC and Irene Drozenski of Rhinebeck; a brother, Joseph (Pauline) Drozenski of Poughkeepsie; five grandchildren, Jaime and Bradley Kwasnowski both of Averill Park, Holly Krohel of Poestenkill and Erika and Kevin Kwasnowski both of Thornton, CO and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Wright.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00am at St. Henry's Church , Old Route 66 in Averill Park where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment St. Henry's Cemetery, in Averill Park. Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Kwasnowski to Meals On Wheels Inc.
