Stanley J. Turner, 83

West Sand Lake - Stanley J. Turner, 83, of Oriole Avenue died suddenly Monday, September 07, 2009, at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late C. Fred Turner and Edna Shaw Turner and husband for 59 years of Carolyn McMann Turner. He was raised in Troy, resided in Merrimack, NH for 4 years and in West Sand Lake for the past 22 years and was attended Troy High School.

Mr. Turner was Chief Claims Agent for the D&H Railroad in Albany for 42 years retiring in 1988.

He was a member of Colonie lodge of Elks and the American Legion and a Navy veteran of World War II..

Survivors in addition to her wife include a son, Keith S. Turner of West Sand Lake; a brother, Fred S. Turner of Plantation, FL and four grandchildren, Sean Michael, Travis Logan, Brianna A., and Mikaela M. Turner.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 12:30 PM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.

Interment will be in Memory's Garden Colonie.
