Shawn L. Pullar

Creedmoor, NC  Shawn L. Pullar, 34, of Cash Road, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born in Troy, he was son of James E. and Doris Browe Pullar of Troy and husband of Tonja M. Ellis Pullar of North Carolina. He had resided in North Carolina since 1997 and was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1987.

Shawn was owner and operator of Stone Hills Trucking in North Carolina for several years. 

He was a #1 fooseball champion and a collector of NASCAR memorabilia and sword collector. 
     
Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include his daughter, Brittney Elaine Pullar (The North Carolina Princess); his father and mother-in-law George and Lillian Ellis of Averill Park; his paternal grandmother, Frances Pullar of Troy;  a sister, Jamie Pullar Dwyer and husband Sean of Wynantskill; two brothers Scott Pullar and wife Trish O'Neal Pullar of Castleton and Greg Pullar and wife Alicia Osgood Pullar of Creedmoor, NC and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Tracy (Ellis) and Rich Varian, Keith and Eileen (Ellis)  White, George and Tammy Ellis and Tena Ellis.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.  He was a very special nephew to his uncles David Browe of Averill Park and Jon Browe of  Florida and also his aunt Susan Pullar Moore of Troy.  He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Eldon B. Pullar and his maternal grandparents Gerald and Evelyn Browe.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue Troy with Rev. Thomas Konopka, Pastor of the St. Michael the Archangel Church, officiating. 

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8pm. 

Interment Elmwood Cemetery in West Sand Lake.
