Sharon A. Murphy Wilson, 54

North Greenbush - Sharon A. Murphy Wilson, 54, of Winter Street Extension died Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Albany Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of Kathleen Fitzpatrick Murphy of North Greenbush and the late John Murphy and wife for 34 years of Michael D. Wilson. She had resided in the Troy area most of her life and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School class of 1976 and Hudson Valley Community College for Early Childhood Education.

Sharon was a program analyst for Hewlett Packard in Albany and many years was a homemaker.

She was very creative and enjoyed various crafts. Sharon loved camping and backpacking with her family and gardening.

Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include two sons, Christopher Wilson, Wynantskill and John 'JD' Wilson, North Greenbush; a sister, Kathie (John Gallagher) Murphy, Nassau; a brother, Kevin (Helen) Murphy, Essex Junction, VT and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday from 4-7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Church 416 Third Street Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Sharon A. Wilson to the St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund 416 Third Street Troy, NY 12180.
