Sharon M. (Garceau) Brunick

Cohoes - Sharon Garceau Brunick, age 61, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home.  She was the beloved wife of Ernest "Bill" Brunick and mother of Brittney Brunick, both of Cohoes.  

Born in Cohoes to the late Joseph Garceau and Lorraine Rainville Garceau, Sharon graduated from Cohoes High School in 1974.  Sharon was a beautiful soul who loved unconditionally and was loved by all who met her.  Sharon was diagnosed at an early age with Multiple Sclerosis, but did not let that stop her from living life to the best of her ability.  She overcame many physical challenges and survived this debilitating disease for much longer than we ever imagined.  We believe that this would not have been possible without the loving care that she received from the staff at Van Rensselaer Manor.  We owe all of you a huge debt of gratitude.

In addition to her husband, daughter and mother, Sharon is survived by her siblings, Joseph (Kelly) Garceau, Frank (Kathy) Garceau, and Jeanie Garceau.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call at the Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church  520 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 12 Noon  with Rev. Karyl Hopp, Pastor, officiating.   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sharon's name to the National MS Society, 421 New Karner Road, Suite 6, Albany, New York 12205-3838.
