Sgt. William F. Wade, Sr.

Troy - Sgt. William F. Wade Sr., 69, Retired Troy Police Officer, died suddenly Sunday, June 5, 2016.

Born in Albany, he was son of William H. Wade of Rotonda West FL and the late Ruth M. Wieland Wade. He was raised in North Greenbush and resided in the Troy and Brunswick areas for many years and attended Hudson Valley Community College and the Police Academy. 

Bill was a Sergeant in the Troy Police Department for 37 years retiring from the Records Department in 2010.  

He had a love for cars and was a member of the Troy Police Benevolent Association.    

Survivors in addition to his father include a son, William F. (Valerie) Wade Jr., Troy; two grandchildren, William F. Wade III and Brittnay L. Wade; his longtime companion, Katheryn Murray, Rotonda West FL; his siblings, Robert, Patricia, Timothy and Bruce Wade and several nieces and nephews

Funeral service private at the convenience of the family.
