I know you are watching from above
I hope that you can still feel my love
I hope you can see all of us who cared
From all the great memories you've shared
I hope you forgive me for any pain I caused you
I hope you know my pain now that I've lost you
I hope that you can be in peace and share it with me because now more than ever it's something I need
I hope you know you make me smile
Thinking of all the good times
I hope you know that I was so grateful to have you in this life of mine
I hope you can trust in me that I'll help Alaina in her needs, that I'll care for her as much as I know you did for me
I hope you know even with you gone I'll love, be apart of, and be there for your family
I hope you know I'll never forget you
I hope you know I'll always cherish you
My teammate, my best friend, my brother
I love you Nick Rest In Peace

I didn't know Sgt. Newell, I did however have the sad honor of being in command of his final flight home. I was on the ramp at LAX when we boarded Sgt. Newell and rendered honors alongside his escorts for his final journey. Thank you Sgt. for your service and sacrifices for our country. God Speed and God Bless your family.

Dear Tracey and family, friends,
My prayers and thoughts have been with you all during this tragic week. Obviously NIck was a highly special person who contributed vast amounts to his country, family and close friends. A dog lover is always a special person too! Please know that I will be present in the weeks and months to follow to help and listen in any way possible.
My deepest condolences .

Sorry to hear of the sad news. I met and served with Sgt Newell in San Antonio, Tx as one of his supervisors. It was of great honor to have met a very passionate, respectable and motivating Marine. Please accept my condolences and May God embrace you in comfort during this difficult time.

Words can't express the emotions we are feeling right now. I met Nick through my nephew Wade Hansen. I also know his bride Alaina, her Mom is one of my best friends.
Prayers of strength, support and love to both families. I know the pain is fresh, but memories and good times will replace the hurt in time. Hugs to all. May God allow you to mourn and to celebrate the life of a very special man.
