Samuel J. Dalessandro, 89

Watervliet - Samuel J. Dalessandro, 89, of Watervliet passed peacefully Sunday afternoon at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by his loving family, including his wife of 54 years, who he always called his "Doll".

Born in Watervliet , Sam was the son of the late Emilio and Maria Dalessandro, and the loving husband of Lorraine (Wiesenforth) Dalessandro.

Sam grew up in Watervliet and was a World War II United States Navy veteran. After his service to our country he worked at the former Al Tech Specialty Steel Company in Watervliet for 30 years, where he never missed a day of work.

He was loving father of Lori (Joseph) Kodadar of Waterford, Todd Dalessandro of Watervliet and Maria (Mark) Micolucci of Wayne, PA. Sam is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Nicholas and Kristine Kodadar and Kathryn and Mark Micolucci; his sister, Mary Morris of Latham and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Peter Dalessandro and a sister, Rose Foland.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 10-11AM prior to the service.

Interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Samaritan Hospital.
