Salim Mouawad Obituary

Hoosick Falls Salim Kaddo Mouawad, 59, of Route 22, died suddenly Sunday, October 27, 2002.

Born in Lebanon, he was son of Jamileh Kaddo Mouawad of Wynantskill and the late Khalil Kaddo Mouawad and longtime companion of Penny E. Jones of Hoosick Falls. He came to the United States, to Troy, 38 years ago and had resided the past 9 years in Hoosick Falls. He was educated through high school in Lebanon.

Mr. Mouawad was proprietor of S&T Garage in Troy and Kaddo's Garage in Hoosick Falls for many years.

He was a member of the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce, a supporter of the Frank Welch Memorial Little League and a communicant of St. William's Church in Troy.

Survivors in addition to his mother and his companion include five sisters, Mariette Saouma of Wynantskill, Marsha Kaddo Mouawad of Wynantskill, Rose Kaddo Mouawad of Lebanon, Yvonne Barbera and husband Maurice of Troy and Cathia Kaddo Mouawad of Wynantskill; three brothers, Francis Kaddo Mouawad and wife Joyce of Wynantskill, Michael Kaddo Mouawad and wife Margaret of Averill Park and Majid Kaddo Mouawad of Speigletown; 12 nieces and nephews, Anthony Sauma, Joseph, Jamilah, Charles and Francis Kaddo Mouawad, Vickie,
Juliette, Rema and Amelia Barbera and Salim, Marsha and Michael Kaddo Mouawad; a step son, David J. Jones Jr. and wife Reena of Johnsonville; a step daughter, Kristina M. Jones of Troy and two grandchildren, Madison and Mitchel Jones of Johnsonville. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Kaddo Mouawad; a sister, Renee Kaddo Mouawad and a brother-in-law, Wadih Saouma.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy and at 11am from Sacred Heart Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2-5 and 7-9pm.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
