Ruth Marie 'Sally' Foster, 81

Lansingburgh- Ruth Marie 'Sally' Foster, 81, of Eighth Avenue, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late William Girard and Elsie Pauline Petersen Girard and wife of Harold R. Foster. She resided in Lansingburgh most of her life and also Grafton and Poestenkill.

Sally loved being a wife, mother and babysitting her grandchildren. Many years ago, she was a secretary for Behr-Manning in Watervliet and Bumstead Chevrolet in Troy.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her children, Bree 'Shelly' (Claudia) Foster of Victory Mills, Cindy A. (James Perry) Foster of Wynantskill and Barry R. (Leslie) Foster of Troy; her grandchildren, Jason Foster, Rebecca Damor, SPC Matthew Foster, CPL Glenn Foster, Alexis and Nicholas Foster and her great grandchildren, William A. Damor, Olivia Quinn Damor, Kyla Foster and Julian Lovett.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
