Ruth E. Wheeler Deyoe

Troy - Ruth E. Wheeler Deyoe, 84, of Sixth Avenue and formerly of Schenectady died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Wheeler and Mildred (Green) Wheeler and wife of the late James H. Deyoe.
She had resided in Troy and Clifton Park and for the past 20 years in Schenectady prior to moving to Troy this year. She was educated at Troy schools.
Mrs. Deyoe was a homemaker.
She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Schenectady, sang in the church choir and was a member of the Hospitality Board.
Survivors include a son, Henry J. Deyoe (Ellen) of Troy; five grandchildren, Keith Deyoe (Connie) of NC, Michael Deyoe of Troy, Laura Phelps (Michael Marcus) of Sand Lake, Robert J. Phelps (Joanne) of Alaska and David Seeley (Kim) of Texas and five great grandchildren, Jeanette Deyoe, Tyler Marcus, Joshua and Jonathan Seeley and Lynn Ruth Marcus. She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda R. Bacon Phelps and a brother, Donald G. Wheeler.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Carol Miller, officiating.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6-8 PM.
Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie.
