Rose Marie Cangro Sowalsky, 76

Troy - Rose Marie Cangro Sowalsky, 76,of Smith Avenue, died Thursday, January 11, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Cangro and Margaret (Childs) Cangro and wife for 34 years of Sherman Sowalsky.

She was raised in Peekskill and resided in Troy since 1948 and was educated at Peekskill schools.

Mrs. Sowalsky was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Aqua Vista Campers Association, an avid camper, and enjoyed cooking, bowling and making her house a home for her children and husband.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her children, Linda R. Jones (John Mero) of Troy, David J. Jones of Troy, Sheila Pier (Don) of Cohoes, Wayne Jones of Jamestown, William Jones (Ruth) of Troy, Margaret Paul of Stephentown, Loretta Jones of Troy and Slade Miller (Holly) of Middlebury, VT; two daughters-in-law, Fran and Pat Jones; a brother, Anthony Cangro (Irene) of NY; 18 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Alfred Jones III and a brother, George Cangro.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 3-8 PM.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
