Troy - Robert W. Miller Sr., 76,of Pawling Avenue, died Monday, January 1, 2007, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Waterford, he was husband of the late Myrtle V. Burt Miller.

He was raised in Waterford and resided there fo 25 years and in Troy for 51 years years and was educated at Waterford schools.

Mr. Miller was employed as a paper maker for John A. Manning Paper Company for 35 years retiring 10 years ago and was a self employed carpenter.

He was a member of the F.B. Peck Hose Company Northside Fire District #1, Wynantskill Fire Department, Troy Lodge of Elks and East Side Seniors. He enjoyed playing bocce, his Friday night card game, the dog track and loved going out to dinner.

He is survived by a son, Robert W. Miller Jr. (Janice) of Wynantskill; four daughters, Deborah J. Futia (Frank) of Albany, Nancy Miller (Mike) of Taborton, Susan L. Miller (Doug) of Troy and Pamela J. Miner of Troy; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Milton Miller and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Earl, Donald and Kenneth Miller and a sister, Mabel Miller.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Gaylord Campbell, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Interment Evergreen Cemetery in Wynantskill.
