Robert Grimm, 78

Wells, ME - Robert Grimm, 78, of Emerson Drive died Friday, May 14, 2010, at Varney Crossing Nursing Center North Berwick, ME after a long illness.

Born in Gloversville, NY, he was son of the late Carl A. Grimm and Carrie Karker Grimm and husband of Susan Murray Grimm. He retired to Wells, Maine 12 years ago and earned his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Mr. Grimm was a teacher in the Wynantskill School District. He worked as a florist during his summers at Peck's in Gloversville.

He was a member of New York State United Teachers and a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a sister-in-law, Kay B. Grimm; two nieces, Kathy Craver and Tracy Brown-Grimm and four great nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Carl Grimm.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Randall Patterson, Pastor.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 PM.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.
