Robert Edward Duncan, 80

Brunswick - Robert Edward Duncan, 80, of McChesney Avenue Extension died Monday, February 25, 2008 at his residence.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Earl M. Duncan and Alice (Beecroft) Duncan and husband of Shirley E. Smith Duncan of Florida.

He was raised in Troy and resided in Brunswick most of his life and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mr. Duncan operated Duncan Car Storage for the past 36 years, was a farmer on the property he still lives on and in February 1948 began Duncan Dairy Farms.

He was a member of Hudson Valley Auto Club and former treasurer. He was an avid swimmer and boater and enjoyed Grafton State Park and Lake George, collecting die cast cars and taking care of his property.

He is survived by his children, Gail Wolek of NH, Robbin (Joseph) Elmi of MA, Neill (Regina) Duncan of IN, Cherie Duncan of Troy, Robert E. (Kristi) Duncan of Brunswick and Kenneth (Christie) Duncan of FL; his grandchildren, Sam Osterhout, Stephen and Brooke Elmi, Brittany and Colleen Duncan, Keighley and Cassandra Fowler and Keara, Hannah, Ella, Elizabeth and Emma Duncan and a great grandson, Aiden Skeffington-Voss.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:30 PM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. James Jeune, Pastor of Bethlehem Community Church, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 PM.

Interment Eagle Mills Cemetery.
