Stamford, CT - Robert Kenneth Bull, 90, of Faucett St. and formerly of Wynantskill died Saturday, October 15, 2016, at his son’s residence after a long illness.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late George D. Bull and Alida Hoffman Bull and husband of the late Bernice Joan Mains Bull. He was raised in Troy and resided in Wynantskill since 1958 and was a graduate of Troy High School.
Mr. Bull was an employee of the Watervliet Arsenal for 30 years, starting as a apprentice machinist, then machinist, then quality control specialist and finally, the quality control department supervisor before retiring in 1984.
He was a communicant and Scoutmaster of Troop 6 at Sacred Heart Church, a member of Kiwanis Club of Wynantskill, Trout Unlimited and was involved in fishing tournaments for Special Olympics. Bob was an avid fisherman winning many awards and involved in the St. Jude Horse Shows for many years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II in the Atlantic and Pacific Campaigns and in the Korean War.
Survivors include a son, Robert Paul (Susan Mitchell) Bull, Stamford, CT; two daughters, Cynthia Jeanine (Robert) Brisson, Speigletown and Virginia Marie (Charles) Camarotte, Elbert, CO; his grandchildren, Adam Robert (Elizabeth Kiley) Bull, Amy Rebekah Bull (Amine) Hariki, T.J. (Danielle R.) Izzo; Matthew S. (Danielle D.) Izzo, Leo (Becky) Brisson, Renee (Derrick) DeGiule, Matthew (Nadine Batchelder) Brisson, Alicia (Harrison) Holmes and Paul, Robert Kenneth, Philip and Silas Brisson and Amanda Joan and Catherine Anne Camarotte; his great grandchildren, Ava Jeanine, Justin Daniel and Samuel Hunter, Elsie Joan DeGiule, Richard Leo Brisson, Madeline Mabel Brisson, Josephine Grace Holmes, Mia Katherine and Stella Grace Izzo and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, George Rhinders Bull, Emily Doughney, Harriet Vroman, Lois James, Kenneth, Charlotte O'Dell, William, Dorothy Collins, Elmer, Donald, Amy Bull, Mildred Diack.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 4-7 PM.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home and at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Interment will be in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville at 12:30 PM Friday.
