Robert D. Bryce, Jr.

Averill Park - Robert D. Bryce, Jr., 65, of  Route 43 died Friday, March 4, 2016, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief  illness.

Born in Troy,  he was son of  R. Duncan Bryce of Rohnert Park, CA and the late Shirley VanOrder Bryce and his stepmother, Joyce Bryce and husband for 46 years of Deborah F. Tilley Bryce. He had resided in Averill Park for 36 years and was a graduate of Troy High School and attended Morrisville College and Hudson Valley Community College . 

Bob was employed as a truck driver for Bryce Beverages, NAPA and Polsinello Fuels for 30 years, retiring in 2007.  

He was a former member of the Troy Lodge of Elks, Burden Lake Country Club, Troy Flames Hockey Team and the Alan Hutchins Golf  League at Burden Lake.  He was a member of Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church.

Survivors in addition to his father, step mother and wife include a daughter, Lorin (Craig) Levins; a son, Scott (Kimberly) Bryce; a sister, Carol Bryce (William) Callahan, Billings, MT; a brother,  Kim (Mary) Bryce, Rocklin, CA; his grandchildren, Lindsay Bryce and Joshua and Joel Levins and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.  

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at the Burden Lake Country Club 162 Totem Lodge Rd, Averill Park on March 26 from 2-4PM. 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Robert D. Bryce, Jr. to the Hoags Corners Volunteer Ambulance Hoags Corners, NY 12062.
