Richard S. Grace

North Greenbush, NY - Richard S. Grace died peacefully October 8, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer at Ellis Hospital. Richard (Dick) originally from New Bedford, Massachusetts lived in North Greenbush for over fifty years. He was a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston. He was the Owner/Publisher of the TidBit Photo classified for twenty years. Recently, he was part of the management of Sterup Square in Troy.

Dick was a Yachtsmen and Champion Golfer. Dick enjoyed boating on the Hudson River on his boat the TidBit II. He was the Commodore of the Van Schaick Island Yacht Club for many years.

He joins his son, Richard S. Grace II, his parents Agnes Norton Grace and Stephen Grace in eternal peace. He is survived by his adoring wife of fifty-two years, Sylvia O'Donnell Grace, his daughter, Lisa-Vaughan Dehnert, his son-in law, Chris Dehnert and his three adoring grandchildren Austin, Heidi and Hannah Dehnert of Brunswick, New York, and his cousin and her family, Katy Marney of Osterville, Massachusetts.

Family and friends are invited to the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday from 4-8 PM. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at the funeral home and at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church, North Lake Ave. Troy, New York where a Mass of the Angels will celebrated by Rev. Randall Patterson, Pastor and he will be laid to rest in Holy Sepluchre Cemetery, 50 Herrick St. in Rensselaer.

His two little dogs, Tinker and Belle brought him joy and happiness. They were adopted as rescue dogs. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made in his name to the organization that brought them into his life, The Animal Support Group, Box 68, Cropseyville, New York 12052.
