Regina A. (Campbell) Zaffuts

Troy - Regina A. Zaffuts, 86, of Troy, died peacefully on Monday, January 12 at the Eddy at Village Green, Cohoes, NY. She was born November 8, 1928 at Mt. Pleasant PA, daughter of Frank J. and Monica Lowry Campbell. She was a retired teacher for the Enlarged School District of Troy where she taught science for many years at School 18 and Doyle Middle School. She was predeceased by her loving husband, John G. Zaffuts.

Surviving are two daughters, Monica Biggs (husband David) of Saratoga Springs; Rosemarie Posillico (husband Joseph) of Latham; two sons, Gerald Zaffuts (wife Debra) of Troy; and Paul Zaffuts (wife Stephanie) of Great Falls, VA. Eight grandchildren: Mark Biggs of Manhattan; Daniel Biggs (wife Alicia) of Troy; Michael Zaffuts (wife Jennifer) of Rochester; Joseph Zaffuts (wife Regina) of Burlington, VT; John Posillico (wife Emma) of Uniontown, OH; Troy Zaffuts-Tournat of Pleasanton, CA: Alexandra and Jessica Zaffuts of Great Falls, VA; and three great-grandchildren: Juliana, Leah and Luke.

The funeral will be private. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at House 21, Eddy at Village Green, Cohoes, NY for their loving care of Regina.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Regina A. Zaffuts to The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Boulevard, Rensselaer NY 12144.
