Grafton Raymond Gardy , 69 ,of Bailey Road died suddenly Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Michael Gardy and Ella (Bly) Gardy and husband for 50 years of Santa R. 'Sadie' Genovese Gardy.
He had resided in Albany until 1969 when he moved to Grafton and attended Albany schools.
Mr. Gardy was a driver for Bond Bread for 9 years, for several years at Freihofer Baking Company and was a self employed carpenter. He was known as 'Mr. Fixit', having the ability to fix anything.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Rayann Kochian of Albany and Veronica Adams of Grafton; a son, Kenneth Gardy of Grafton; a brother, Gary Gardy of Grafton and four grandchildren, Gina and Andrew Kochian and Kenny and Brandon Gardy. He was predeceased by an infant daughter; a brother, Lester Gardy Sr. and a grandson, Justin Viglucci.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue with Rev. Michael White, Pastor of the Christian Disciples Church in Eagle Mills, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Interment Eagle Mills Cemetery.
