Raymond Edward Dickinson, 87

Brunswick-Raymond Edward Dickinson, 87, died Monday, December 26, 2005 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Stanley Dickinson and Rebecca (Carr) Dickinson and husband for 60 years of Theresa M. Czech Dickinson.

He had resided in Troy most of his life and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mr. Dickinson was partners in REDCO Supply in Troy, with his wife and son since 1976. He was also General Manager of the Ehrlich Auto Parts chain for 47 years.

He was a founding member and life member of the Mountian View Fire Company and a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks, the Industrial Club, a Republican Committeeman for the Town of Brunswick and a Cub Scout leader at Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed gadgets, tools and golf.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his son, Edward Raymond Dickinson of North Greenbush, his grandson, Todd E. Dickinson of North Greenbush and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Stanley Eric Dickinson and Donald H. Dickinson.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. James J. Vaughan, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery in Waterford.
