Phyllis T. Maddalla, 94

East Greenbush - Phyllis T. Maddalla, 94, formerly of Brinker Drive North Greenbush died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Evergreen Commons after a long illness.

Born in North Adams, MA, she was daughter of the late Albert Thomas and Margaret (Gay) Thomas and wife of the late Peter Maddalla. She was raised in North Adams, resided in Blanford, MA and lived for many years in Hampton Manor and North Greenbush. She was a graduate of Rensselaer High School.

Phyllis was a homemaker and many years ago was a comptometer operator for Montgomery Ward.

She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in West Sand Lake, United Methodist Women and Home Bureau. Phyllis and Peter enjoyed traveling together, plus summers in their cottage on Cape Cod and in later years vacations on Lake Champlain with family.

Survivors include her 5 daughters, Gay (Karl) Strattman of Liverpool, Judith (John) McConnell of Williamstown, MA, Lynn (Peter) Huber, Lois (Larry) Walsh both of West Sand Lake, Susan (Alberino) Baguisi of Rensselaer; her grandchildren, Lisa Shepard, Peter and John McConnell, Eric Strattman and Sharon Pernisi; 9 great grandchildren; and her nieces, Phyllis Warmt and Margaret Koban. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Ethel Anderson and Marion Glennon.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150, West Sand Lake on Tuesday from 4- 7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, at 9:30 AM at the funeral home and at 10AM at Salem United Methodist Church Shaver Road West Sand Lake with Rev. Dr. Patricia A. Bush, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Holy Sepluchre Cemetery Rensselaer.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Phyllis T. Maddalla to the Salem United Methodist Church Shaver Road PO Box 475 West Sand Lake, NY 12196 .
