Philip F. Episcopo, 85

Watervliet - Philip F. Episcopo, 85, of Brooke Circle died Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a brief illness.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was son of the late Salvatore Episcopo and Josephine Manera Episcopo and husband for 55 years of Veronica Popson Episcopo. He was raised in Brooklyn and resided in Hempstead, Huntington, LI Jay, NY and the past 4 years in Watervliet and attended school in Brooklyn.

Mr. Episcopo was an Automotive Supervisor for the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority for 38 years retiring in 1988.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, he served in the Battle of the Bulge, 75 th Infantry Division being awarded the Purple Heart.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Phyllis (Frank) White, Clifton Park; two sons, Robert S. (MaryBeth) Episcopo, Webster, NY and Steven P. (Eleanor) Episcopo of Troy; two brothers, Nicholas Episcopo, PA and Joseph Episcopo, NJ; a sister, Delhia McDaid, NJ and 8 grandchildren, Kristin Bissell, Randy White and Andrew, Kevin, Julianne, Alex, Isabella and Casey Episcopo and a great granddaughter, Kahlen Bissell.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12 noon - 1 PM.

Interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
