Paul Henri Ludwig

Troy - Paul Henri Ludwig, 89, of Troy, New York, passed away on September 4, 2016. 

Born in Troy, NY on August 30, 1927, he was the son of the late Milton Ludwig and Lucille Ludwig-Bellard. Paul, the eldest of seven children, attended Troy High School while working multiple jobs to help provide for his family when his father suddenly passed away. 

His journey of finding the right career brought him through many different professions which ultimately led to his own business creation, Paul Ludwig Snow Slides. However, Paul would not want to be remembered for his work. He enjoyed life more than anything. His love of dancing, music, movies, and most importantly, family, was all he needed in this world to make him happy. 

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Der Arakelian Ludwig; sisters, June Brassard, Marjorie Machnick, Marion Marshall; daughters, Lori Paterakis (Robert Berman) and Jodi Campbell (Gary Campbell); grandchildren, Sara Wood (Anthony Wood), Paul Paterakis (Hoa Paterakis), Dimitrios Paterakis (Rose Paterakis), Milaine Paterakis (Samuel Langley), Bret Campbell, Mollie Campbell; great-grandchildren, Anthony Wood, Ava Wood, and Hazel Rose Paterakis; additional family, Napoleon Paterakis and Michael Der Arakelian. 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Florence Gwinn; brothers, Milton and Frank Ludwig.
