Paul F. Clickner, 88

Brunswick - Paul F. Clickner, 88, of Merrill Avenue Brunswick died Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Evergreen Commons East Greenbush after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Walter Earl Clickner and Elizabeth Duffy Clickner and husband of Mildred N. Lappala Clickner. He had resided at the Snyders Lake and Center Brunswick areas all his life, was a graduate of Troy schools and took technology training at Hudson Valley Community College.

Mr. Clickner was worked for the Borden Company for 39 years as a customer service representative in the Troy and Menands plants and around the Capital District and then a maintenance technician at the dairy in Menands, retiring at age 65.

He was a 30 year fireman, officer and fire police of the Center Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company, a volunteer with the Brunswick Little League and Center Brunswick Boy Scout Troop #537. He was an Army veteran of World War II as a Medic in England.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Susan N. Clickner, Phelps, NY; a son, Peter P. (Barbara) Clickner, Ball Ground, GA; two brothers, Thomas Clickner, West Sand Lake and Ernie Clickner, Melrose; a sister, Elsie Clickner, West Sand Lake; a brother-in-law, Allen (Mary) Lappala, Tequesta, FL; his grandchildren, Katie Clickner, Atlanta, GA, Kevin (Jill) Clickner, Cumming, GA and Matthew (Jody) Clickner, Marietta, GA and numerous nieces and nephews in the Capital District, CT and FL. He was predeceased by a brother, Walter Clickner and three sisters-in-law, Chris, Sandy and Virginia.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Saturday from 10-11 AM with a service to follow at 11AM with Rev. Arthur Hagy, officiating.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery Wynantskill.
