Paul Agan, 59

Wynantskill Paul Agan, 59, of Curtis Road, died Wednesday at Samaritan Hospital, Hospice Unit, Troy, after a long illness.

Born in Pittstown, he was son of H. Eileen Babineau of Wynantskill and husband of Patricia A. Schneider Agan. He was raised in Johnsonville by his grandparents the late Hattie and Forrest Agan and had resided in Troy and later in Wynantskill for the past 35 years. He was a graduate of Hoosic Valley High School.

Mr. Agan was a machinist for the General Electric Company in Schenectady for 33 years retiring in 1999. He currently was employed by Tri-City Rentals in Troy.

He was a US Navy veteran stationed in San Diego; Virginia and overseas.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a son Spencer Paul Agan and wife Genevie of Valatie; a daughter Kristin Ann Agan of Wynantskill; a granddaughter Bryanna Agan of Valatie; two brothers Glenn Babineau and wife Renee of Wynantskill and Peter Babineau and wife Shirley of Sycaway and his father and mother-in-law Charles and Rita Schneider of Delmar; dear friend of Joe and Joan Mauro of Schenectady and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy with Rev. C. Joseph Ingraham, Pastor Emeritus of the Christ Church United Methodist Troy, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8PM. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
