Norma L. (Parrow) Murphy

North Greenbush - Norma L. Murphy, 95, of Blooming Grove Drive died Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Guy Parrow and Mabel Richer Parrow and wife of the late James H.  Murphy Jr. She had resided most of her life in Troy and 15 years in Syracuse and attended Troy High School. 

Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker. 

She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill and enjoyed crocheting, spending time with family and friends and loved her cats especially Kiki.    

Survivors include nieces, Kathleen Quell, Mary Ellen Gwozdz and Tammy Miller, several additional nieces and nephews and special friends, Lisa and Amanda Case and Sue and Rachel Martin.   She was predeceased by a sister, Hope McAllister and a brother, James Parrow.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 9-11 AM. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:30 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church 43 Brookside Avenue Wynantskill with Rev. Anthony Ligato, Pastor.

Interment will be in  St. Joseph's Cemetery Troy.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Norma L. Murphy to the St. Jude the Apostle Church 43 Brookside Avenue Wynantskill, NY 12198.
