Norma Gonyea Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Norma Elvera Orciuoli Gonyea of Defreestville, NY announces her passing at St. Peter’s Hospital on September 3, 2018 at the age of 87 years.
Norma will be forever remembered by her daughters: Kimberly Kross, Valerie Gonyea and her husband, Jeff Schmidt and Bethany Gonyea and by her 5 grandchildren Jeremy Kross, Jared Kross, Jonathan Kross, Mikayla Smith & Cheney Smith and 2 great-grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her Brother, Ralph Orciuoli. Norma was predeceased by her Father, Romeo Silvio Orciuoli, her Mother Mary E Casatelli Orciuoli and her siblings, Oreste “Frank” Orciuoli, Joan Orciuoli Hewitt and Sylvia Orciuoli Cappellano.
Norma was born on January 4, 1931 in Albany, NY. She attended Philip Schuyler High School where she graduated in 1948. Norma had a long career as a Secretary in the New York State Assembly and never lost her passion for politics
A memorial gathering will be held in her honor by her family in the next several months.
