I worked with Nicole years ago at the race coarse luxury suites, back when she was a security guard and I was maintenance. She was such a sweet girl, very fun and had a positive attitude most times I would see her. I can not believe this loss my heart goes out to her family and friends, esp Melissa Kesterson. God bless and may she rest in paradise. Heaven has recieved a beautiful angel.

Love your old "track buddy" Angela Aries

To the family of Nichole Lips we would like to send our condolences. It is without a doubt a difficult time when we lose our loved ones. At these times we have found comfort from the promised hope found in the scriptures. John 5:28,29 promises:
"Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment." The hope of seeing our loved ones again is very comforting. At Revelation 21:3,4 it also states this promise: 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor. outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Imagine no more death, outcry, pain anymore.
These scriptures have helped us during such times and has provided a hope for the future. Hope they will do the same for your family at this time.

I didn't know Nicole as I graduated from Morrisville a few years ahead of her, but we're all Journalism family...especially us WCVM'ers. My condolences go out to your entire family. I'll say a prayer for her, as well as all of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

One of the hardest lessons for a college professor is to grapple with the death of a student. Especially when that student was as compassionate and delightful as Nicole.
Nicole was one of the first WCVM staff members to reach out to me when I was suspended from Morrisville in March 2011. She pledged her help, wrote and called often with words of encouragement, and offered her prayers every day. I last spoke with her via email a few weeks ago.
This vibrant young woman was always a beacon of love and light. She was intelligent, talented, and had a wicked sense of humor. I cannot believe she is gone. It breaks my heart.
I loved WCVM Media, as did Nicole - not because of the media venue the students built - but because of the wonderful student professionals who entered and enriched our lives every day. Nicole is at the top of that list. I know she is having fun with "Heaven Radio" and will be singing forever.
Teach tolerance, offer love and peace, and pay your positivity forward in Nicole's honor. She would be so pleased.
God Bless you, dear friend - rest in peace. And, may each of you reading this be blessed with all good things,
~Gladys L. Cleland, Former Associate Professor, Journalism, Morrisville State College and Former Advisor/CFO, WCVM Media (1996-2011)

My sincere sympathy to Nicole's family on her untimely death. I know this is very hard because we, as parents, should not be dealing with the death of our children. This is not how we expect things to happen. Having had Nicole in class, I know first hand what a great young lady she was. She always tried to give it her all and was always fun to speak with. We had numerous conversations during her studies at MSC and she spoke freely about all her health problems, while always trying to look at the positive aspects in everything. You should all be very proud of what she accomplished, especially while dealing with all those issues. She will certainly be missed as a hard working student, young woman and an alum of Morrisville State College. Most of all she will be missed as a loving daughter and sister to all of you. Rest in peace Nicole.
