Nancy (Tenney) Dobert

Sand Lake - Nancy Tenney Dobert, 87, of Snake Hill Road Sand Lake died suddenly Sunday, December 28, 2014, at her residence.

Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late Lawrence C. Tenney and Margaret  Blake Tenney and wife of the late Alfred Frederick  Dobert. She was raised in Albany, resided in Troy for several years and in Sand Lake since 1956 and was a graduate of Vincentian Institute in Albany, class of 1945. 

Mrs. Dobert was a clerical typist for New York State Office of General Services in Albany for 17 years retiring in 1994 and prior to that worked For the Department of Civil Service for 6 years.  

She loved shopping at LL Bean, researching the internet with the help of her son, Dan and was a communicant of St. Henry's Church in Averill Park.    

Survivors include two sons, David Warren (Cheryl) Dobert, Sand Lake and  Daniel Peter Dobert, Sand Lake; a grandson, David William Dobert, Austin, TX; a brother,  L. Peter (Olga) Tenney, Albany and several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 7 PM at St. Henry's Church 39 Old Route 66 Averill Park  with Rev. Thomas F. Holmes , Pastor.
