Mildred N. (Lappala) Clickner

Clifton Springs, NY / Troy, NY - Mildred N. Clickner, 86, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Rochester Regional Health Clifton Springs.

Born in Ludlow, VT, she was daughter of the late Peter Allen Lappala and Martha Lehtonen Lappala and wife of the late Paul F. Clickner. She had resided in the Troy and Center Brunswick Areas most of her adult life. She was a graduate of Black River Academy in Ludlow VT and Albany Business College. 

Millie was employed by the Brittonkill Central School District in various administrative positions at the elementary and middle schools for over 30 years.  She enjoyed working with the children and made many friends among the staff.

She was a member of the Brunswick WAYS Senior Citizens and Center Brunswick United Methodist Church.  While Peter & Susan were growing up Millie volunteered with 4-H, Troop 537 Cub Scouts and the Brunswick Little League. 

Survivors include daughter, Susan N. Clickner, Phelps, NY; son, Peter P. (Barb) Clickner, Ball Ground, GA; Sister-In-Law Mary Lappala, Tequesta, FL plus three beloved grandchildren in Georgia: Katie (Stephen) Archer, Kevin (Jill) Clickner and Matthew (Jody) Clickner plus 6 (soon to be 7) great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Millie was pre-deceased by her brother Allen Lappala, brother and sister-in-laws Walter & Christine Clickner, Elsie Clickner, Thomas & Virginia Clickner and Ernest & Sandra Clickner and niece Patti Clickner Deeb.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 11-Noon with a service to follow. 

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery Wynantskill.
