Mildred F. Hayner Brimmer, 85

Troy - Mildred F. Hayner Brimmer, 85,of Lilac Lane, died Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Danforth Adult Home in Hoosick Falls after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Hayner and Grace (Brott) Hayner and wife of the late Elmer Brimmer.

She had resided in Troy and Grafton all her life and was educated at Grafton Schools.

Mrs. Brimmer was employed as a clerk for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance in Albany for 15 years retiring in 1985 and prior to that she was a collar attacher for 15 years at Cluett, Peabody & Company in Troy.

She was a member of Wynantskill and North Greenbush Senior Citizens and a member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Troy .

She is survived by a daughter, Alma DeFazio (John) of Sand Lake; two sons, Richard 'Butch' Brimmer (Gail) and Ronald Brimmer of Troy; a son-in-law, Donald Waters of Latham; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Robert E. Brimmer; a daughter, Patricia M. Waters; a grandson, Robert D. Brimmer and 2 late brothers.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11am at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. John McAuley, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8pm.

Interment Eagle Mills Cemetery in Eagle Mills.

A special thank you goes to the Danforth Adult Home, Hoosick Falls Rescue Squad and Police Department and The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County for their care.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Brimmer to the American Cancer Society 260 Osborne Road Loudonville, NY 12211.
