Michael Rotondi, 75

Brunswick - Michael Rotondi, 75 , of Mellon Avenue died Tuesday April 22, 2008 at his residence after a long illness surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Chicago, he was son of the late Louis Rotondi and Anna (DeBonis) Rotondi and husband of Tanya (Dee) Rotondi.

He was raised in Chicago and resided in the Troy area for many years. He attended Hirsch High School in Chicago, was a 1947 graduate of Troy High School and a 1957 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College.

Mr. Rotondi was owner and operator of Rotondi's Luncheonette on Fifth and Broadway in Troy from 1961-2002, loving every minute of it.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy and an avid reader, an artist and enjoyed his grandchildren. He was a Navy veteran and in the Coast Guard Reserve for 41 years retiring as Chief Warrant Officer.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Michael Gregory (April) Rotondi of Los Angeles, CA and Anthony (Maureen) Rotondi of Brunswick; a daughter, Victoria Rotondi of Brunswick; two brothers, Dominic M. (Alice) Rotondi of Brunswick and Louis A. (Mary Ann) Rotondi of Wynantskill; three grandchildren, Ethan and Katherine Rotondi and Morgan Rotondi and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Randall Patterson, Pastor.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8PM.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
