Poestenkill - Michael J. O'Connor, 43, of Route 351 Poestenkill died Monday, March 21, 2011.

Born in Walton, NY, he was son of the late Joseph M. O'Connor and Barbara St. Mary O'Connor and husband of Erin O'Connell O'Connor. He had resided in Walton for 5 years, raised in West Sand Lake, and lived in Poestenkill for the past 15 years. He was a graduate of Averill Park High School, class of 1986.

Mr. O'Connor was employed as a service manager by Milton Cat in Clifton park for 25 years. He had a passion for motorcycles and music and played the guitar.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Alison and Michael O'Connor, Poestenkill, a sister, Candace J. (James) Foust, West Sand Lake; three brothers, Edward J. (Laila) O'Connor, Abington, PA, Daniel J. (Deborah) O'Connor, Picayune, MS and Joseph J. (Margo) O'Connor, Joshua, TX and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake on Friday from 4-6 PM. Funeral service will follow at 6 PM with Rev. Dr. Patricia A. Bush, officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County 295 Valley View Boulevard Rensselaer, NY 12144.
