Michael F. Caruso Jr., 85

Troy - Michael F. Caruso Jr., 85, of Hamilton Avenue died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Cornerstone Hospice House in Lady Lake, FL surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Michael F. Caruso Sr. And Maria (Partroica) Caruso and husband of Ann V. Yannick Caruso for 57 years.

He resided in Troy all his life and for the last 8 years, became a snowbird to Lady Lake, Florida.

Mr. Caruso worked on the assembly line at Ford Motor Company in Green Island for many years retiring 20 years ago. Prior to that he was a self-employed carpenter.

He was a communicant of St. Anthony Shrine Church in Troy, the United Auto Workers, and the Italian Community Center in Troy. His first love was his family and loved anything Italian. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his daughters, Diane (David) Beauregard of VA and Mary Grace (John) Cahill of Troy; two brothers, Louis and Marco Caruso both of Troy; a sister Angie Caruso Wilk of Troy; two grandchildren, Nina and Jered Cahill; a great grandchild, Jack Cahill and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Antoinette Caruso Centrella and two brothers, Benjamin and Nicholas Caruso.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM at Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony Shrine Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-7 PM.

Interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
