Mary Ruth McCabe

North Greenbush - Mary Ruth McCabe, 93, died Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a long  illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late William Joseph McCabe and Edith M. Nutt McCabe. She had resided in Troy all her life in the Stowe Avenue area and was a graduate of Troy High School. 

Ruth was a clerk for New York State retiring in 1979 and also many years ago worked for Rensselaer County.

She was a member of  the former First Baptist Church of Troy and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Ruth is survived by her many caregivers from the Manor including Corinna, Kathy, Diane, Ida, Desiree, Sadaia, Dawn, Mary Lee, Cathy and many many more.

Friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 2:30-3:30PM followed by a service at 3:30PM with Rev. Douglas Thomson, officiating. Interment will be in  Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
