Mary Elizabeth Werger Shoemaker, 99

Cohoes Mary Elizabeth Werger Shoemaker, 99, of Cindy-Way, died Friday at her daughter's residence.

Born in West Sand Lake, she was daughter of the late Harry Christian and Grace Onna Uline Werger. She lived most of her life in West Sand Lake, and had resided with her daughter the past 12 years in Cohoes.

Mary was employed at Faith Mills in Averill Park until its closing.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Shoemaker of Cohoes; her son, Fred Shoemaker and his wife Allyson of West Sand Lake; 2 grandchildren, Courtney and Eric Shoemaker; a great granddaughter, Brittney Lyn Tilley and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Ruth Goeldner, Emma Peters, Sarah Shaw and Minnie Kunz and three brothers, Joseph Werger, Harry Grant Werger and John Werger.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00am from the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake with Rev. John Mulligan, Pastor of the Open Arms Fellowship in Schenectady, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8PM.

Interment Elmwood Cemetery in West Sand Lake.
