Mary Barsalow Mulcahy, 80

Troy - Mary Barsalow Mulcahy, 80, formerly of Jay Avenue Troy died Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center Troy after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Edmund Barsalow and wife for 59 years of Joseph Daniel Mulcahy. She had resided in Troy all her life, on Jay Avenue for 50 years and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School.

Mrs. Mulcahy was a bookkeeper for RD Marshall heating and air conditioning in Albany for many years, retiring many years ago and formerly worked at Beneficial Finance.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and an avid bridge player and talented pianist.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Patrick T. and wife Patty Mulcahy of Wynantskill; two grandchildren, Seann P. Mulcahy of Boston and Tara K. Mulcahy of Athens, GA and several nieces and nephews including Daniel Mulcahy of Colchester, VT. She was predeceased by a brother, David Barsalow.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Yanas, Pastor.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 PM.

Interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
