Troy - Mary Alice Duncan, 82, of Gurley Avenue died Saturday, June 30, 2018, at her residence after a long illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late George VanDeCar and Elizabeth Holland VanDeCar and wife of 13 years of Charles J. Duncan. She had resided in the Troy area all her life and was a 1956 graduate of Troy High School.
Mary was a clerk for Verizon for 25 years retiring in 1995.
She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Survivors in addition to her husband, include her children, Cole Godfrey and Paul Edgar Mero both of Troy; her siblings, Patricia Stata, Linda Gendron, Walter VanDeCar, Carol Mason, and Katherine Gariepy; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, William DeWolf; and her siblings, Bill, Allen, Thomas, Dolores and Elizabeth VanDeCar.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 4 - 7PM.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:30AM at the funeral home and at 10AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church 175 Williams Road, Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial be celebrated with Rev. James Mackey, officiating.
Interment will be in Memory Gardens Colonie.
