Mary Dooley, 74

West Sand Lake - Mary Dooley 74 , of Summers End died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Samaritan Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Albany, she was raised by Catherine Warnock and wife of the late Robert Dooley.

Mary spent her younger years in Albany and was a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School. She had resided in Averill Park for the past 48 years.

For many years, she was employed by Teledyne-Gurley in Troy, where she built electronic boards for surveying equipment.

Mary enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking. She spent a good part of her life caring for Foster children.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Anthony A. LaRose of Averill Park and Jeffrey James (Donna) Dooley of Albany; a daughter, Tracey Anne Dooley of West Sand Lake; 4 grandchildren, Edward LaRose , Logan Dooley, Gina Dooley-Ritchie, and Giovanna Dooley; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sister-in-laws, Janice King of Arizona and Marilyn Dooley of West Sand Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service in memory of Mary and Robert Dooley will be held Monday, June 8^th at 12 Noon at Factory Point Cemetery in Manchester Center, Vermont.
