Mary J. Farrell Cipperly

Mary Farrell Cipperly, 88

Troy Mary Farrell Cipperly, 88, of Tibbits Avenue and formerly of Route 43 West Sand Lake, died Thursday at Heritage House Nursing Center Troy, after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late John and Catherine Stack Farrell and wife of the late Ervin G. Cipperly. She had resided in Lansingburgh and then in South Troy until 1938 when she moved to West Sand Lake. She was a graduate of St. Mary's School in Troy.

Mrs. Cipperly was a shirt presser for Cluett Peabody & Company in Troy for 50 years retiring in 1982.

She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne A. Brown of Albany; a sister, Margaret Hennessey of Troy; a grandson Brian Jennings of Atlanta, GA and a granddaughter Jennifer Pioggia of West Sand Lake.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00am from the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake with Rev. James E. Clark, Pastor of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-7pm. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
